Christmastime is calling!

Carols ring, are you listening? On this blog, snow is glistening… A beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight, walking in a Christmas wonderland. Gone away is the bluebird, here to stay is a new bird, sings a holiday song as we go along, walking in a Christmas wonderland. In the meadow, we can build a snowman (snowman), and pretend that he is Old Saint Nick. We can ask him what we’ll get for Christmas, just make sure that is beard is nice and thick. Later on, we’ll conspire, with our stockings by the fire, we’ll face unafraid the plans that we made, walking in a Christmas wonderland. In the meadow, we can build a snowman, and pretend that he’s a flying deer. We’ll have lots of fun with Mr. Rudolph, knowing that quite soon he will be here. Later on, we’ll conspire, cookies laid by the fire, our hearts all aglow, we very well know that we’re walking in a Christmas wonderland, doodloodoo! Walking in a Christmas wonderland. Walking in a Christmas wonderland!

Taylor Swift!

On a different topic altogether, I just thought I’d mention that today is the 24th birthday of one of my all-time favorite heroes, Taylor Swift. On a Christmas day in 2010, I got my hands on “Speak Now”, Taylor’s third album. I instantly fell in love the moment the first lines of “Mine” blasted through the speakers. She has a voice like an angel, her songs are so relatable, and she’s a great role model for girls, not letting her well-earned fame change the amazing  person that she is. Have an amazing birthday, Taylor Allison Swift! In honor of her birthday, I dressed up as Taylor for the day, you can see a picture below.

Also on the birthday train is my friend from NaNo and a very talented Blogger! Yes, kiwiyoungwriter, I’m talking about you. Kiwi is awesome, nice, helpful, talented, and created one of my favorite blogs, Dynamic Ramblings. Have an awesome birthday!

Tomorrow, I’m going to see the movie Frozen in 3D! I’ve heard it’s really good. I’m pretty excited.

How to get inspired (With the help of my friend, the internet)

Here’s a very simple way to get inspired.

1. Go online. If you are reading this, you have already completed step one (unless, ya know, someone printed this out for you, dunno why they would.)
2. Go on Google or Yahoo or Bing or whatever search engine you like. (I also find Goodreads is excellent for this)
3. Type in something you like (happiness), plus “quotes (happiness quotes)
4. Click on a promising looking result.
5. Read the quotes and get inspired! (or find a new role model who says a bajillion inspiring things.

Here’s an example!

I just went onto Goodreads, which is an awesome site where you can write book reviews, learn about new books, share writing, and connect with friends) and searched the name of my favorite musical artist, Taylor Swift,  in the search bar. Then, I clicked ‘quotes’. Here’s what I found…
